Ted was hired to represent the family of a man injured in an oilfield accident wherein he was working to assemble an oilrig. While atop of the rig, he was not required to wear any type of fall protection by the site supervisor and ultimately fell causing catastrophic injuries.

When EMS arrived the man was alert and stated he could not feel anything below his chest and had pain in his mid back area therefore was placed on a backboard and air flighted to the nearest trauma center. Once at a trauma center he was diagnosed with spinal fractures at multiple levels of his T-spine requiring surgical fusion from T3-T9. Further diagnostics were performed of the fractured area and his spinal cord could not be seen and likely transected therefore diagnosed with paraplegia two. Though the man appeared to be making progress he succumbed to his injuries and passed away.

After more than two years of litigation Ted and his team were unable to secure a settlement at mediation, but continued post mediation negotiations and came to an agreement without having to go to trial for $1,485,000.00.

Total Recovery: $1,485,000.00
