Liggett Law Group Helping Lubbock Celebrate 6th Annual Cinco De Mayo

Lubbock Cinco De Mayo

Liggett Law Group is happy to announce that we are helping Magic 1065 and Telemundo Lubbock celebrate the 6th Annual Cinco De Mayo Festival. The celebration will be held at Buffalo Springs Lake Amphitheater starting at noon and tickets include the fee to get into the Buffalo Springs Lake.

The Cinco De Mayo Celebration will feature Latin Grammy Award winning Tejano band Elida Reyna Y Avante, Tejano music legend Jay Perez, and popular Tejano rock band Jamie Y Los Chamacos. The celebration is also featuring Art Tigerina, Remedio, Adagio, and DJ Sancho In The Mix.

The celebration starts at noon, so attendees can first enjoy the annual Cinco de Mayo Parade down the historical Broadway Street before cooling off in Buffalo Springs Lake and listening to some of the big acts in Tejano music.

You can also meet the team from Liggett Law Group at our tent where we will be handing out promotional items and celebrating Cinco de Mayo. Because we want all attendees to have a wonderful time, we’ve put together a helpful list for enjoying Cinco de Mayo safely.

TEXAS CINCO DE MAYO SAFETY TIPS

  1. Don’t Drink And Drive. We want everyone to have a fun time celebrating Cinco De Mayo and we don’t want to see anyone get hurt. Drinking and driving is incredibly dangerous, so plan ahead and have a designated driver or call taxi cab.
  2. Stay Safe In The Water. We know many people are going to be enjoying Buffalo Springs Lake, but it is important to remember that water poses serious risks to young children. Never leave children unattended and make sure young children are wearing life jackets or floaties.
  3. Stay Hydrated. In the Texas heat, dehydration can quickly take effect. Drink plenty of water and if you feel yourself beginning to feel the signs of heatstroke, immediately seek medical attention.
  4. Don’t Forget Sunscreen! Not only can sunburns be painful, they can also increase your risk of developing skin cancer later in life. So bring plenty of sunscreen and reapply it often.
